Job Summary

Graham Auto Service is Sikeston's top and fastest growing independent repair shop. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Duties:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in all makes and models of vehicles. Domestic, European, and Import.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential problems or safety concerns
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Follow repair manuals and schematics to ensure accurate repairs
• Perform powertrain repairs and replacements
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques
• Familiarity with automotive service procedures and standards
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals

Skills:

• Proficient in using hand tools and specialized equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately
• Excellent attention to detail for precise repairs
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication skills to explain repairs to customers
• Good attitude
• Ability to show up to work on time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour (Pay based on experience)

• Perform oil changes and basic vehicle maintenance
• Mount, balance, and repair tires
• Assist with wheel alignments (training provided)
• Inspect vehicles for safety and maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work alongside experienced technicians to build your skills

What We're Looking For:

• No experience required — we will train the right person
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus, but not required
• Valid driver’s license preferred
